- 12 lasagna noodles uncooked, broken into pieces
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 small onion diced
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper optional, for heat
Step 1: Cook the Meat
Brown the ground beef (or sausage) in a skillet over medium heat.
Add diced onions and cook until soft.
Drain excess grease and stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, and seasonings.

Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours.
Once noodles are tender and cheese is melted, turn off the Crockpot.
Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot.
