Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add in the egg, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
