  • 1 lb vegan pulled pork-style strips seitan or soy-based
  • 1 cup sugar-free BBQ sauce check labels or homemade
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: 1 small onion thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion until soft if using.
  • Add vegan pulled pork strips to skillet, sear for 3-4 minutes.
  • Transfer to crockpot.
  • Mix BBQ sauce, vegetable broth, vinegar, and spices in a bowl, pour over strips.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, stirring halfway through.
