- 12 fresh strawberries rinsed and dried
- 1 cup vegan dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil for extra smoothness
- Optional toppings: crushed nuts shredded coconut, sea salt, or cacao nibs
Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries—chocolate refuses to stick to wet fruit.
In a heatproof bowl, add chocolate chips and coconut oil.
Melt using a double boiler method (place the bowl over simmering water) or microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring each time.
Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, twisting slightly for an even coat.
Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined tray.
If using toppings, sprinkle immediately before the chocolate hardens.
Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes or until the chocolate sets.
Try not to eat them all at once (no judgment if you do).
