  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon halved
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce optional

Instructions
 

  • Boil the shrimp: Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add Old Bay seasoning and halved lemon.
  • Cook the shrimp: Drop shrimp into boiling water. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until pink and firm.
  • Chill the shrimp: Transfer cooked shrimp to an ice water bath. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Make the cocktail sauce: In a small bowl, mix ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and hot sauce.
  • Serve: Arrange shrimp in glasses or bowls. Pour sauce into small cups for dipping.
