Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz plant-based beef cubes
  • 1 cup bell pepper chunks
  • 1 cup onion chunks
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Yakitori sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp sliced green onions

Instructions
 

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes.
  • Thread plant-based beef, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers.
  • Heat sesame oil in a grill pan over medium heat.
  • Cook skewers for 8 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, vinegar, ginger, and garlic.
  • Stir cornstarch with water, then add to sauce.
  • Simmer sauce 3 minutes until glossy.
  • Brush sauce over skewers while cooking.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
