Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
  • 4 slices of bread hoagie rolls work too
  • 4 slices provolone or American cheese
  • 1 small onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper optional, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Sauté the vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onions and bell peppers for 5-7 minutes until softened. Set aside.
  • Cook the beef: In the same skillet, add sliced beef. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  • Assemble the sandwich: Place beef and sautéed vegetables on bread. Add cheese slices on top. Close the sandwich.
  • Grill the sandwich: Butter the outer sides of the bread. Place on the skillet over medium heat. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
  • Serve: Slice and enjoy your hot, cheesy Philly cheesesteak melt with crispy perfection.
