For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Honey Mustard Marinade:
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Make the Marinade: Whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
Marinate the Chicken: Coat the chicken in the honey mustard mixture. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes (or overnight if you plan ahead).
Preheat the Grill: Heat to medium-high and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
Grill the Chicken: Cook for 6–7 minutes per side, flipping once, until golden and cooked through.
Baste for Extra Flavor: Brush leftover marinade onto the chicken in the last 2 minutes of grilling.
Rest & Serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with your favorite sides.

Extra Tips for Maximum Flavor
- Let the chicken rest. Cutting it too soon = losing all the juiciness.
- Use real Dijon. Yellow mustard won’t cut it here.
- Double the sauce. You’ll want extra for dipping.
- Grill marks matter. Don’t move the chicken too soon—let it sear.
- Pair it wisely. Serve with roasted veggies, a crisp salad, or garlic butter rice.
Now grab a plate (or don’t) and enjoy some properly grilled chicken.
