Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich:

  • 4 slices of bread sourdough or whole wheat
  • 4 slices vegan cheese or ½ cup shredded vegan cheese
  • 4 slices vegan bacon
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter or margarine
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional but delicious

For Serving:

  • Vegan ketchup hot sauce, or tomato soup

Instructions
 

  • Spread vegan butter on one side of each bread slice.
  • Heat a skillet on medium heat.
  • Cook vegan bacon until crisp, then set aside.
  • Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
  • Add vegan cheese, bacon, and a sprinkle of pepper.
  • Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
  • Grill for 3–4 minutes until golden and crisp.
  • Flip and cook the other side until the cheese melts.
  • Slice diagonally (because presentation matters) and serve hot.
