For the Sandwich:
- 4 slices of bread sourdough or whole wheat
- 4 slices vegan cheese or ½ cup shredded vegan cheese
- 4 slices vegan bacon
- 2 tablespoons vegan butter or margarine
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional but delicious
For Serving:
- Vegan ketchup hot sauce, or tomato soup
Spread vegan butter on one side of each bread slice.
Heat a skillet on medium heat.
Cook vegan bacon until crisp, then set aside.
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
Add vegan cheese, bacon, and a sprinkle of pepper.
Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
Grill for 3–4 minutes until golden and crisp.
Flip and cook the other side until the cheese melts.
Slice diagonally (because presentation matters) and serve hot.
