Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich:

  • 4 slices sourdough or multigrain bread
  • ½ cup vegan cheddar or mozzarella shredded
  • ½ apple thinly sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • Pinch of cinnamon optional
  • Dash of salt and pepper

Optional Add-ons:

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • Heat skillet on medium.
  • Spread vegan butter on one side of each bread slice.
  • Place one slice buttered side down in the skillet.
  • Layer half the cheese evenly.
  • Add apple slices and sprinkle cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  • Add remaining cheese and top with the second slice.
  • Grill for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and melty.
  • Press with a spatula for that perfect crisp.
  • Slice diagonally (because we’re not amateurs).
  • Serve warm and prepare for compliments.
