For the Sandwich:
- 4 slices of bread sourdough or multigrain
- 4 slices vegan cheese or ½ cup shredded vegan cheese
- 2 tablespoons vegan butter or margarine
- Pinch of salt optional

For Serving:
- Vegan tomato soup or ketchup optional but highly encouraged
Spread vegan butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Place a slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
Layer with vegan cheese and sprinkle garlic powder if desired.
Top with the second slice, buttered side up.
Grill for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
Flip carefully and cook the other side until the cheese melts and bread crisps.
Remove from the pan, slice diagonally (because presentation matters), and serve hot.
