Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich:

  • 4 slices of bread sourdough or multigrain
  • 4 slices vegan cheese or ½ cup shredded vegan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter or margarine
  • Pinch of salt optional
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional for flavor boost

For Serving:

  • Vegan tomato soup or ketchup optional but highly encouraged

Instructions
 

  • Spread vegan butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • Place a slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
  • Layer with vegan cheese and sprinkle garlic powder if desired.
  • Top with the second slice, buttered side up.
  • Grill for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip carefully and cook the other side until the cheese melts and bread crisps.
  • Remove from the pan, slice diagonally (because presentation matters), and serve hot.
