Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a bowl.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Let cookies cool slightly before devouring them.
