Instructions
 

  • Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef or sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles.
  • Toss in diced onion and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  • Stir in oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Let the spices release their flavors for a minute.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and broth. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Drop in broken lasagna noodles. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Stir in ricotta cheese for a creamy base. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, topped with shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, and fresh parsley or basil for garnish.
