  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare apples: Peel, core, and slice the apples. Arrange them on a serving dish.
  • Make caramel sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar.
  • Simmer: Slowly add cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir until caramel thickens (about 5-8 minutes).
  • Add flavor: Stir in vanilla extract and sea salt.
  • Pour and top: Drizzle caramel sauce over apples. Add crushed nuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
  • Serve: Let the dessert cool slightly before serving.
