Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups seitan or extra-firm tofu pressed and sliced
  • ½ cup vegan barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder optional, for kick
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, and vinegar.
  • Coat seitan or tofu slices evenly in the sauce.
  • Arrange pieces in baking dish; pour remaining sauce on top.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway for caramelized edges.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot with vegan sides.
