- Vegan beef-style mince soy or pea protein: 250 g
- Olive oil: 1 tbsp
- Onion finely chopped: ½ cup
- Garlic minced: 1½ tsp
- Tomato paste: 2 tbsp
- Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
- Smoked paprika: 1 tsp
- Cumin powder: 1 tsp
- Chili powder: ½ tsp
- Black pepper: ½ tsp
- Salt: ½ tsp
- Water: ¼ cup
For Assembly
- Small taco shells or tortillas: 4
- Lettuce shredded: 1 cup
- Tomato chopped: ½ cup
- Red onion sliced: ¼ cup
- Vegan sour cream or cashew crema: 2 tbsp
- Fresh coriander: 1 tbsp
Instructions
- Heat skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Sauté onion for 2 minutes until soft and slightly golden.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add vegan beef mince and cook 4 minutes, breaking it apart.
- Stir in tomato paste, soy sauce, spices, salt, and water.
- Simmer 5 minutes until mixture thickens and coats evenly.
